Organization Overview

Mission Statement :
The mission of the Culture, Identity and Health program is to provide culturally responsive, effective and sustainable support for AISD children and their families, particularly those living in low-income neighborhoods. The primary objective of the Culture, Identity and Health program is to strengthen self-esteem and protective factors for at-risk youth via group-based activities that support African American and Latinx American values and beliefs. A positive cultural identity is purported to serve as a protective factor against vulnerability to school dropout and risky behaviors.
